Brett Williams was everything you want in a young man and a baseball player. It was my honor and pleasure to be able to coach him and have him as part of our program. Brett was one of the best players I have every coached. Not just because of his physcial ability his leadership, his will to compete, or his mental approach to the game. Brett was the best because he understood that his ability to play the game was a gift. he understood that it was not about him but about something much bigger than himself. He wanted to used the game to reach people, to have influence, and to be a great man. Brett’s dream was to use his gift in baseball to change lives. On December of 2016 Brett fulfilled his dream of committing to play baseball at the University of South Carolina. His dreams of playing at the division 1 level were coming true. However, God had much bigger plans for Brett. On January 17th 2016 Brett Passed away from the flu. His impact on the community and our program will live on forever. His life impacted thousands, God used Brett Williams in a mighty way in our community. Some people are just made for greatness.
