Devotion Series

It is our mission to reach each of our players on a spiritual level. We believe it is not enough to just raise up great players we must raise up great men. We focus on a devotion each week that helps refocus our young men from the game and point them to something much bigger than themselves.

Fixing your eyes

Hebrews 12. Fix your eyes on Jesus the Pioneer and protector of your faith. In baseball we fix our eyes on the ball so we can be successful at the game.
In our faith we must fix our eyes on Jesus the be successful in the game of life. Are you fixing your eyes on Him every day? are your walking with
him minute by minute?

Narrow Path

Narrow Path Matthew 7

Narrow is the road that leads to salvation and only few find it. We are the not the many we want to be the few. It is important to understand what it means
to be set apart. Being on the narrow road is not how the world tells us the live, it is different. We want our players to stand out, to be set apart,
to swim upstream. Are you on the narrow road?

Power

John 14: Talks about the holy spirit. The holy spirit is a part of christ and is someone who is with us at all times.

He is with you when you are at school, at home, or at practice.

Refined in the Fire

1 Peter 1:7

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious
than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus
Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Strong Foundation

It is important to understand that we must have a strong foundation in our faith. Matthew 7 tells us that our faith must not be built on sand but on rock.
That nothing may cause us to waiver or stumble away from the faith. We grow our foundational faith by spending time with Him who gave us life. We do
this through three main spiritual disciplines: Reading the Bible, Going to Church, and Prayer.

The Little Things

Who are you when no one is watching? Luke 16:10 says, “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest
in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” We want our youth to take responsibility in the game of life and baseball. As
Christians, we strive to honor the Lord everyday with large and small decisions. Continue to seek the Lord for his guidance and you will make the best
decisions with His love and direction. Enjoy your Bodyshop Baseball- Tip of the Week!

You’re Never Perfect

Romans 3:23 Tells us that all fall short of the Glory of God. That no one seeks God, all have turned away. We fall short of God everyday, we will never
live up to his perfection. The idea is that we are seeking, that we are running to become the man we were made to be. We know we will fall, however,
with each failure it draws us closer and closer to him. Our need for a savior is seen in our inability to measure up to his perfection.
